Work in progress on sustainable travel guidance
Buying Solutions has recently been leading work on developing guidance on making travel policies more sustainable as part of Buying Solutions' Travel Collaborative Pilot. The draft guidance is currently work in progress and comments from Buying Solutions' customers are welcomed. An organisation's travel policy has an important role in helping to achieve more sustainable travel.
Buying Solutions' draft guidance considers in detail issues surrounding sustainable travel, the role of the travel policy and selecting the optimum mode of transport for a journey. The guidance includes sample 'model' text and a checklist of core principles, which departments will be able to check against their existing policies.
