Advertising campaign well under way

Buying Solutions corporate advertising campaign kicked off in November 2008 with a series of on and offline advertisements promoting our 'Smarter procurement' message.

You can access an example advert. The media used was a mix of technical and, for the first time, national press including the Guardian, Times and Telegraph.

From February the corporate campaign was complemented by a series of category specific ads mostly in the technical press, including Supply Management, Government Computing and the HSJ, but a small selection in the nationals including the Guardian and the Telegraph.

The campaign's main objective was to raise Buying Solutions' profile and position us as the national procurement partner for UK public services.

This positioning and messaging fits with the 'new' Buying Solutions vision and values and will continue after the launch of the new brand on 6 April.

Already we have seen enquiries to our Customer Service Desk increase substantially by nearly 30% - last year during January we had 4372 enquiries, this year we've had 5608. A similar increase has also been seen with visits to our website.
