Welcome...

Welcome to the first Network Services eZine.

This is the first edition combining information on both of the products managed by the Network Services Team: GSi and Mts. To improve the way we share information with customers, both products are covered in this eZine.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to remind all GSi customers that the most significant savings under GSi2.5 can be found by signing up to a three year contract and the deadline to do this is the 31st December 2008.

All Mts customers will also be enjoying savings as a result of the reduced SAP charges as of 1st April 2008.

As a result of feedback from customers and the raised profile of Information Assurance within government we have made some updates to the GSi Code of Connection, and version 4.0 will be published within the next month. Updates made on the GSi Code of Connection will feed into the Mts Code of Connection if and when appropriate. Further information on both the savings and Code of Connection changes can be found in the articles published this month.

• Remind you of the savings available under GSi2.5 and provide an update on the availability of voice over the GSi
• Let you know about the Mts service and the benefits it offers government
• Announce the pending publication of v4.0 of the GSi Code of Connection
• Provide a summary of the Mts Management Information available and the data on customers service credits it provides
• Announce the launch of ALFiE which allows you to transfer large files securely and easily across the GSi.
