Taking the mystery out of the Carbon Reduction Commitment

"It's no Mystery!" is the title of an innovative event, to be held at The Magic Circle, Euston, London on 17 June 2009, which promises to focus on the practical implementation of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC).

Hosted by the London Energy Project (LEP) and designed for those with direct responsibility for preparing for, measuring and managing carbon reduction and its environmental and financial impacts, this event brings a real-world view on what to do and how to do it.

The LEP says that visitors to the event will get answers to practical questions, such as: What does CRC mean for your organisation? What steps can you take to manage and measure carbon emissions? How do you get local stakeholders like schools on board and engaged?

The event also coincides with the launch of LEP's new CRC guide and self assessment toolkit. Packed with practical templates, sample letters, presentations and self assessment checklist, the free toolkit prepares organisations to begin managing carbon reduction immediately!

Rob Leak, Chief Executive of London Borough of Enfield, will be explaining more about CRC and why Capital Ambition and London Councils supported a shared solution.

To book or find out more please email LCE.Energy@Haringey.gov.uk

Due to high demand for this event, priority will be given to local authorities that are obligated under the CRC.
